Overview:
College Readiness Math (ACT Math) is a high school math course focused on reinforcing core concepts from Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II. This course will review basic concepts and practice math test-taking skills to help prepare for the ACT tests. The main purpose of this course is to prepare the student for the ACT math test.
Skills to Learn:
- Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, as tested on the ACT Math section
- Strategic problem-solving techniques for various types of ACT math questions, including multiple-choice and grid-in questions
- Ability to interpret and analyze data presented in graphs, tables, and word problems
- Time management skills to efficiently navigate through the ACT Math section and complete questions within the allotted time frame
